explanation
The concert programme serves as a fantastic calling card for Cappella Amsterdam in recent years: orthodox choral music from Northern and Eastern Europe and Asia Minor, featuring compositions by Schnittke, Pärt, Komitas, Stravinsky, Tüür, Kalinnikov, Tchaikovsky, as well as Syrian and Aramaic church chants.
For the Companions, this is a unique opportunity to engage with this music, benefiting from the experience of the conductor and the Masters.
