One of the leading Dutch singers of his generation, baritone Raoul Steffani has recently been praised by Opernwelt as “singing fresh and lyrically clear, with a sensitive interpretation, from an intelligent theatrical distance.” Raoul won the 2016 Elisabeth Evertis Prize, the 2018 Dutch Classical Talent Audience Award and the 2018 Grachtenfestival Prize.
Raoul is very active as a Lieder singer and performs regularly in Dutch concert halls such as the Concertgebouw, Muziekgebouw aan het IJ, Muziekgebouw Eindhoven, International Chamber Music Festival Utrecht and Festival Música en Segura in Spain.
He is a regular guest and ambassador of the International Song Festival Zeist and often appears on national Dutch radio and television. He has already sung at the Royal Concertgebouw and in various series at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, the Megaron Concert Hall in Athens, in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Spain, Hamburg, Paris, Munich and Vienna.
In 2023, Steffani won the Dutch Music Prize, the culmination of a two-year study program that focused on his artistic development.
