background

With pain in our hearts, we have had to decide to cancel WinterWonderfeel. Wonderfeel narrowly escaped the eye of the needle this summer, the new COVID-19 measures have dashed our plans for the first winter edition at the beautiful Zonnestraal estate in Hilversum. The evening lockdown, combined with the requirement for social distancing, makes it impossible to organize the event responsibly.

WinterWonderfeel was meant to be a performance in which we could immerse ourselves in a heartwarming atmosphere of musical surprises and poetry — a show where harmony and optimism could have taken center stage.

The disappointment is great for the whole team and all the musicians, but … energy is never lost. We are currently investigating whether WinterWonderfeel can still go on next year.

If you purchased a ticket for WinterWonderfeel, you will have the option to either reclaim the purchase amount or to donate the amount in whole or in part. We will send you further information on this next week.

Meanwhile, we are continuing our energy toward Wonderfeel 2022. We look forward to meeting again on July 15, 16 and 17 to celebrate summer carefree at a sun-drenched Wonderfeel.

On December 17, 18, and 19, it’s time for a premiere at the Zonnestraal estate in Hilversum. WinterWonderfeel will take place in a winter landscape, featuring a performance filled with heartwarming music and winter stories, where numerous musicians and other artists will take the stage in 75 minutes.

The WinterWonderfeel program will include classical music and more, in an atmospheric setting. Take a seat in a (centuries-old) classic mirror tent, be surprised and warmed by a packed program, and immerse yourself in that old-fashioned midwinter feeling. Afterward, the campfire will crackle, and the mulled wine will be warm.

'In a conversation with Winter Wonderfeel, the organization asked me to convey a certain atmosphere, mood, and certainly not something related to Christmas. Funnily enough, there are few direct references to winter in my chosen repertoire, except for the last piece by Sviridov that paints a beautiful winter scene that has not been heard or seen in this part of Europe in recent years.
