The combined energy of the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century and the passionate top students of the early music department of the Royal Conservatory of The Hague invariably make this annual project one of the highlights of the season. For the 2023 edition, the successful formula will be expanded to include the very best students of the vocal department as well as members of Cappella Amsterdam. Shoulder to shoulder, the seasoned professionals and the eager new generation of singers and instrumentalists will perform Handel’s Messiah, conducted by Daniel Reuss, one of the favorite conductors of the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century.
Over the years, Side by Side has proven to be a life-changing experience for the upcoming talents, a source of inspiration for the members of the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century and Cappella Amsterdam, and a first-rate musical experience for the audience.
