Conductor Cyrille Nanchen on the freedom supper concert:
In the Netherlands, we can celebrate living in freedom, but freedom is never something to take for granted. That’s why on May 5th, people all over the Netherlands come together at the table to share stories and celebrate freedom. Cappella Amsterdam will celebrate this by singing at the Freedom Supper in CC Amstel.
A Freedom Supper is celebrated together with your neighbors, your best friends, distant acquaintances, and new faces. The core of the Freedom Supper is a special encounter at the dinner table, where guests discuss freedom and oppression. Meet new faces, listen to each other’s stories, and get to know each other better on Liberation Day. Will you join us?
