Cappella Amsterdam Jubilee Concert

50 years of Cappella Amsterdam

★ ★ ★ ★ ★
"The chamber choir Cappella Amsterdam is celebrating its fiftieth anniversary. Actually 52, but due to the pandemic, the jubilee celebration could only take place last Saturday. During a concert in the Beurs van Berlage, the choir demonstrated why it receives so much acclaim both domestically and internationally. To name just three qualities: crystal-clear diction, precise vocal lines, and a velvety sound. When Cappella lost its national subsidy in 2016, the outrage was indeed justified. Fortunately, subsidies were awarded again in 2020—an extra reason to celebrate."
