Cappella Amsterdam, conducted by Daniel Reuss, performs motets by Bach.
Although motets were composed before Bach’s time, it was the German composer who gave the genre his own signature. He wrote numerous motets, often for special occasions. Many of these works were only performed once and not well archived. Fortunately, many compositions have withstood the test of time.
