Nieuw Vocaal Amsterdam and Cappella Amsterdam, under the direction of chief conductor Daniel Reuss, present a concert centered around Benjamin Britten’s classic A Ceremony of Carols. With the selected works, framed by organ repertoire in the place to be for organ music, the musicians bring the atmosphere of English Christmas carols to Amsterdam.
In the 2022-2023 season, Cappella Amsterdam and Nieuw Vocaal Amsterdam will also share the stage in the concert series featuring Schnittke and Rachmaninov.

About Nieuw Vocaal Amsterdam
Nieuw Vocaal Amsterdam (NVA) was founded in 2005 by Caro Kindt and is a vocal training program specializing in opera and music theater, accessible to all children and young people aged 4 to 21. No audition is required. The 300 students of NVA receive weekly singing and solfège lessons and sing in one of the 24 NVA choirs.
Children with sufficient talent and motivation may be invited to sing in our concert choirs, Nieuw Amsterdams Kinderkoor, Jeugdkoor, or Jongenskoor, which are among the top in Europe in their field. NVA is open to all children who love to sing, regardless of cultural, geographical, or financial background. In collaboration with Leerorkest Amsterdam, NVA has established two Learning Choirs. NVA also serves as a knowledge center and is committed to the international promotion of children’s choir singing.
